    Hey all -
    Wanted to crow a bit!
DS13 just took his first 'belt test' last night and now he is no longer a white belt. DH was just against Karate for personal reasons, and it took me this long to 'put my foot down' and let DS start.
I had a little tear in my eye when DS took off his belt and had the next level placed on him. DS hates all forms of physical activity, so getting to this landmark is a really big deal. Yippee!

Yeah!!! That's great that it's something physical that he can do. Does he like it?

He really really likes it - and he's not an enthusiastic kind of person. He whirls around the house airpunching things.

Fantastic! Martial arts can be a wonderful experience with the right kind of teacher.

Well done - fantastic news! My sons both love karate and it is very good for helping focus, co-ordination (and just learning a bit of self defence). We're all crowing with you, congratulations smile

Well Done! Tell your DS we all say YAY!!! My DS hated Karate until he got his first belt, then all of a sudden things changed. Our Dojo closed a while back and he's been driving me nuts to find him a new one.
