I cannot be the only one with the back to school blues. We should start taking vacations and not start until October. While we may radically solve our problem... until then... who has some great ideas for creative spirit, after school, unleashing excitement??? Somebody help us save the spark!

I'd ask who else needs a pick me up but the posts this week say it all.

The begginning of the school year is really hard for my DD6 and DS9. I have two kids who take lots of pride in learning and are very smart. The first month is the worst as it is review of last year stuff. They come home extra crabby. My daughter said she feels like she is in preschool while in 1st. My DS says it's just alot more work but doesn't feel challenged enough. They are getting many more repetions to learn then needed. It's easy A's for them. I would love to say to them your hard work has paid off but they are not working hard. I wish my kids could start in October to miss some of the aggravation.
