LabVIEW 2009 Student Edition Mac/Win CD

    Hello,
Is anyone here familiar with this product?
I am wondering if this would be a good 13th B-day gift for my son. He is an aspiring engineer/physicist who is fairly computer proficient.
    Thanks.

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Yes, there is always an experiment that hed like to run. Unfortunately, due to ds having to commutes an hour to and from school every day, he hasnt had time to work his ideas. (His project plans essentially consist of several lasers and a glass sphere, so I think hed actually need a lab too).

He is completing a simple school assigned physics exercise as I write for which he has annotated all data on graph paper.

The K-12 price is $79.99, which I realize is a huge discount. Still, I think I would have to ask him if it would be of interest.
    I appreciate your help.
