I missed this post the first time around, but I so sympathize! Four months later, I'm wondering if you liked the book 'Re-forming' and how school is going for your son.
My son is 13, and looking back, I wonder if I knew then what I know now, could I have fixed things? Not really. Short of moving to a town with a HG/PG self contained schol, or homeschooling. Well, if I could have hand-picked all his teachers, that might have helped!
Anyway, levels of IQ and achievement like that are really hard to accomidate before the child learns to touchtype. But little improvements can help alot. What have you figured out since July? Is anything working?
