    Very cool, I'd have liked to be in there as the video ended and they addressed the question: "What does this mean?"

    Clearly there is the implication that those that can best access and manage information stand to benefit greatly now, and in the near future. Something to ponder.......

    Interesting, I was going somewhere else with that. I do believe those that can best manage the informations and systems will be the *captains of industry* so to speak.

    Not sure I'm ready to realistically consider that computers could take over the world. On the other hand, I certainly wouldn't take a stand that it's not possible in the distant future....

    I think us humans will be augmented by computers.

    Its already happening - google is an amazing tool as is are the online discussion boards.

    AI has been a holy grail for a long time and in the 80s people thought you could write a few programs and they would arise. No one thought that because we have a billion years of evolution, tens of thousands of years of culture, and then 18-25 years of parenting to create a human being, that it might be a lot harder...

    If we do advance computers that far, people will upload their consciousnesses long before AIs can arise.
