BWBShari Member Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 1,167 NM	It seems to me that these kids that require acceleration in math, require radical acceleration! DS6 is doing 3rd and 4th grade math concurrently, plus doing pre algebra with the GT coordinator 2x week. He says that the only new math is the pre algebra, the rest he already knows. Yet when he took the placement test to determine which classes to start in, he test evenly in all subjects. His other subjects are not progressing anywhere near as rapidly. Shari Mom to DS 10, DS 11, DS 13 Ability doesn't make us, Choices do!

When he found out that summer meant no school for 3 months and therefore no math he had a fit. I'm signing him up for EPGY so that he will have numbers all summer! How good are you on math? I am wondering if you feel like me and that soon we will not be able to help our kids.
