I am such an avid reader I read all the time and yes I have read such books lol. My son hates reading fiction, he would prefer a good biography or manual over what they read in class. He's learned that if he reads out loud in a very monotone voice and barely pays attention then he won't be called on to participate more in class. His teachers think he has a hard time reading but ask him to read a car manual and then tell you about it and he would go on for hours lol and even use voices it's crazy. The librarian here locally loves him...she is always commenting on how she's shocked the level of books he'll read regarding past wars, aircraft, manuals, etc...once he finds something that interests him he has to know all about it to the point we have caught him late at night sneaking on to the internet to look up schematics of world war 2 aircraft.
