    Along the lines of Kriston's point, if traits don't interfere with a person's functioning or cause distress, by definition it's not a disorder. The psychiatrist Peter Kramer used the term "cosmetic psychopharmacology" for the use of psych. meds in order to tweak aspects of someone's personality (e.g., Prozac making them more outgoing) in the absence of any true disorder. What a creepy place the world would be if people tried to modify themselves to some ideal personality. It reminds me of that show "The Swan" when all the contestants ended up getting the same cosmetic surgery, hair, body-type (etc). to look like some ideal of beauty. Scary. eek
