    Hi all,

This article first appeared in the Washington post and made it's way to NZ. I though it had some excellent insight for those of us struggling with perfectionist kids. I'm going to start the strategy today and see what happens...

This is great. My DD7 is this exactly. If she doesn't feel like she's doing something perfectly she quits. I will definitely keep this in mind, and see if it helps.

I have noticed that lately she has started saying "it doesn't have to be perfect" (which is something I say to myself all the time, because, well, the perfectionism didn't fall far from the tree) which I take to be a good sign.
