My DD12 loves the new show Scorpion.

Sometimes Monty Python's humor is absolutely brilliant, and sometimes they're slapping each other with fish. We watched the entirety of The Holy Grail on Youtube, and there are various Flying Circus clips available as well.

Showing my age... here's some stuff on the English language that a 7yo can appreciate:

I haven't watched any episodes of that. DS saw that it was on and seemed intrigued by the title of the show, however.

Is it appropriate for a second grader's innocence? I don't want to field questions on sexual humor, for instance.

That Gallagher was funny. I'd like to share George Carlin with DS when he's older.
He likes vintage things. He listens to 40's big band music, for instance, so please, show your age with your suggestions! (I'm 47 so I may have you beat!)
DS enjoys Mr. Bean. Of course, he likes humor without words. I recently introduced him to Charlie Chaplain. A fave for him is my collection of Pink Panther cartoons, of which too many would be considered inappropriate for children today.

What channel is that on? We watch cable a lot more than local channels, so perhaps we missed it?

Definitely some funny points in those YouTube's. DS is still learning the serious side to economics, so may enjoy them with my explanation; although the rubber glove thing isn't going to be one of those explanations...yet!

Black Adder is a riot, if a little bawdy in some episodes. Definitely pre-watch.

First episode I'd recommend is the one based on Macbeth.

Aren't all comedians brilliant? Demetri Martin. He uses graphs and does a lot of language comedy. His stand up is almost kid-proof but then there are bits of innappropriate material here and there, but you can probably find hilarious clips that are appropriate. Mitch Hedburg is another language comedian, he may have some kid-proof material. My son thinks Bill Nye is funny, too.
