We recently saw a young man wearing a sort of animal costume and dancing strangely... My eight year old quipped, "He might say to his friend, "Do you think I should take it to Hollywood?" and his friend replies, "I think you should take it to a psychiatrist!"

Hi Lorel! (and Dottie, and I'm sure perhaps some others!)

That is hilarious. Yes, the reference is to "Caddyshack"...DH's favorite movie, and I have seen it waaay too many times. But your son and his friend's comments are even funnier.

I'm jumping right in here, without really an intro, but dd12's comment yesterday totally cracked me up. My mother recently passed away after a long illness (sad, but she is now where she wanted to be) and we were discussing the afterlife. DD said, "well, they've GOTTA have a hardware store in Heaven." For some reason that just totally cracked me up, as my dad spent a good portion of his off-work hours puttering in the garage or at the hardware store.

    Emm-

It was actually my 8 yo daughter who said that. smile

I love the comment on the hardware store on Heaven. My condolences on the loss of your mother. Sometimes a bit of laughter can ease the pain.

My dad passed away at an airport in China, after suffering a blood clot on the long flight. He was quickly carried back into Hong Kong and it took us a week to get his body back to the states for burial, as there was red tape due to his being a German national. (They would have released his body to Germany, but his wife and children were in the states, where he had lived most of his adult life.) Anyway, he had to be embalmed in Hong Kong, and when we finally got him back and viewed his body at the funeral home, he had a definite Asian cast to his features! My sisters and I laughed until we cried. Apparently, that undertaker didn't work on a lot of Caucasians.

OH Lorel I'm so sorry for your loss and the way it happened.

Emm - I'm so sorry for your loss as well. The comment about the hardware store was very funny!

Austin - what a great link - my son will love it! Also love the Caddyshack comments :-) My hubby and I are serious Caddyshack fans.

    Another one:

My mom, sister, nephew, Pud and I were traveling last week. We stopped at a DQ for a potty break and drinks. As we were getting ready to leave, I decided to go back in and use the restroom again. Pud says "Don't talk to anybody while you are in there". My mom praised him for being concerned about my safety (don't talk to strangers). According to her, he rolled his eyes and said "THAT'S not it - if she talks to anyone we'll never get out of here"! Guess I'm getting to be a windbag!

    Happy Tuesday!
