    can someone suggest resources to help prepare for math kangaroo
    my dd , 1 st grader , will be taking it for the first time

    Sorry, I'm not very familiar with Math Kangaroo. Our school doesn't participate because it's too cost prohibitive. Most contest prep materials start at fourth grade like Math League and MOEMS. You might try Primary Grade Challenge Math by Edward Zaccaro. It's a great book, but I can't attest to how well it would work as preparation for Math Kangaroo.

    Math Kangaroo's Canada site used to have up ~10yrs of exams for all grade levels freely available... I assume it still does.
