I would also suggest homeschooling.

It's really not as scary as you think it might be - esp with kids who learn so much more easily - they become independent learners quickly and you really just need to keep providing the environment conducive to letting them learn as and when they are ready to do so.

Intense kids seem to thrive at home where they can have off days and good days and intensely focused days and playing days without you needing to constantly advocate for them.

We don't regret moving from the gifted school to homeschooling - not even on the "hard" days. My oldest is almost 7 now and would have been ending grade 1 (or 2 with a skip) but at home he is able to work at his own level on any given subject - so for maths its between 3rd and 5th grade, for writing it's between 1st and 3rd grade etc. There are so many resources and once you find a group where you both feel comfortable and accepted, it's really quite fun
