Now that school is finally over. (My school district runs way later than many.) My son's 8th grade counselor and his future high school counselor changed his class to honors science when they met at the beginning of this month. They asked that I keep quiet about it until school was over.

I am keeping my fingers crossed and won't believe it till he has been in the class a few weeks. This move hasn't been approved by a principal or science teacher so it could still be reversed. And it's entirely possibly that when classes schedules are sorted out in August things will change yet again.

    Thanks for everyone's advice.
