Dysgraphia!
School Psych says she sees at least relatively mild dysgraphia! Confirmation that I am not insane (well at least not with regard to my suspicions that something was wrong). School psych spent 5 days with him, gave him many tests/assessments and observed him in class (and, incidently, wrote in the report and told me in person what a 'delightful' child he is with a wonderful sense of humor
and very intelligent). The testing reveals dysgraphia (relatively mild, we think) but not dyslexia. Psych said she totally sees what I am seeing now and how DS' intelligence compensates and hides it. I knew something was up with all those reversals LOL.... Anyway, my school psych so far has been fabulous. She is willing to do even more testing and give him the WISC before the end of the school year so that we can see more clearly if his processing and working memory has improved any with the therapies he's been getting or not. Guess I hit the jackpot with regard to school psychs! I can't believe she said she'd give him a WISC IV, without a big eval or report just the testing and the scoring, so we can compare and see if the therapies he's getting OT/VT are making any difference with regard to his processing and working memory!
