Last night we had a true "2E moment". DD7 has to read 20 minutes per night for school so we have worked out a system where she listens to high level audio books (roughly 8th grade level or higher) and then reads lower level "Easy Readers" herself. So last night she was reading a simple, probably K level, book that repeats simple words with the same word ending (i.e. mad, glad, sad, etc) but for some reason the publisher chose to put these target words in a hard to read yellow ink. After a couple of pages DD puts the book down and says "You know this is really exasperating! Why would they put these words in yellow and make them so hard to see????"
So a 2E moment. While struggling with a K level book she perfectly expresses how "exasperating" the format of the book is. What moments have you had that perfectly demonstrate your child's 2Eness?
