    Hi all -
I'm in the middle of testing with my DD8. We did 1 day of WISC and WJIII and didn't get through it - but tester has said that so far she seems to be "very gifted." My big concern coming in was how much she struggles with reading - tester says she sees what I had mentioned, but isn't far enough to give more info yet. DD just can't seem to get the reading - hates to do it, struggles with it, has to sound out words again and again, mixes up b and d, fluency is low.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Langsford Learning Centers? I know someone who swears by their program - very intensive for 5-8 weeks (and expensive!!!), but they claim great success with kids with LDs, dyslexia, and just behind on the curve. Sounds very appealing - I'd be willing to pay the bucks if I thought it would get results! It's becoming more clear to me how much this is holding DD back!!

    Thanks!~
    Susan

Bumping post - anyone familiar with the program JamD is asking about? Or any other advice with struggling readers?
