I'd like to pick your brains again.
We're planning to meet with DS8's school next week to discuss various options for next year, to increase the level of challenge during the school day.
One option we're considering is asking them to allow DS to leave his Language Arts class to take a CTYOnline course in LA instead. The CTY website says that there are schools doing this now.
Has anyone had an experience (good or bad) with curriculum substitution that they could share? Also, if you have tried this, was the school on board from the beginning or did they have concerns? Would you mind sharing what those concerns were and how you overcame them?
