My son is very, very verbal and did quite well on the WPPSI. I do think that it is really important which tester you use. My son does like some control, and our tester allowed him to "design" and ask test questions of her as a part of the testing process. He did quite well and I think one reason was that the tester really understood the needs of very gifted kids. Some of the questions seem ridiculous but since he could also ask questions himself he would do anything for the tester! At 4 it is really important to consider the "affective" needs of the child during the test if you want valid scores. Just my opinion/advice!
