DD5 discovered MadLibs the other night at dinner. I have bought a few MadLib books and they are great for her 5 year old hands to practice writing while the 3rd grade Language Arts brain comes up with all the creative words to use.

Boy, it really has erased the asynchronous lines we have seen between handwriting and cognitive ability.

She gets to create a story by only having to write 10-12 words. We cannot get her to stop, and are enjoying how it is increasing her reading fluency too!

I found this site:
http://www.eduplace.com/tales/

And after her hands get tired from doing page after page of MadLibs, she logs onto her laptop and continues with this site!

Oh, what a (adjective) girl I have at (noun) tonight!
