that does sound pretty good, it's great that the director of curriculum is nice - and ok with the fact that there are some really really smart kids out there! smile

Yes, I think differentiation for 26 separate kids is not realistic, we usually see 4-6 groups for the main subjects like reading or math, but when in science or computer class, one group is usual. Actually I think most of the kids in my ds' reading group could stretch up from what they are reading, but at least it's better than one group.
