My DSYS15 is in 9th grade. He is very advanced in all the humanities, but (while he's good at them) doesn't have a passion for math and science. He would like to take a summer Algebra II course with a math tutor who could might make math more interesting for him. He's a big believer that a passionate teacher can transfer that to the student, and he very much WANTS to be a math-lover. I recall years ago there being a math tutor that folks here loved -- he worked online. Maybe his name was John? Does this ring any bells for anyone? Just wondering if there might be something I can pursue to help DS.

Thanks and Happy New Year!
