I don't know if this is of interest to you or not, but your expression reminded me of this Love Languages questionnaire I had up in a tab to try with my kids. My DD8 has yet to make a wish list, saves all of her money, feels like she has more than enough stuff, and far prefers experiences with others. She likes things like a gift certificate for movie with mom, her choice at game night or movie night, or for one free back rub or hug any time. She's a very imaginative kid, who likes to perform for us, but is shy around others. Still figuring her out!
