My daughter is recently identified as PG. We are at stage to decide what will be a good option for her:
1.) good pubic school
2.) public schools gifted program
3.) private school that target to gifted kids only
4.) private school that also accept none gifted students, but it allow kids to progress at their own pace (if 7 years old kid can do 3rd grader math, school will let him do it.)

Background: She is a 4th grader this year in a pretty good public school district.

Question: which path will be a good fit for a PG kid?

1.) good pubic school
She enjoys social prospect of current school. I am not impressed by academically at elementary level though, nothing is challenging to her there. However high schools in the district has 10%+ go to top universities (not sure how does that happen) There is no gifted program in this school district (as result of budget cut).

2.) public schools gifted program & 3.) private school that target to gifted kids only
3.) Will gifted school typically a best bet for PG kids?
Are there difference between the two?
How to tell it is a good gifted school?

4.) private school that also accept none gifted students, but it allow kids to progress at their own pace (if 7 years old kid can do 3rd grader math, school will let him do it.)
