As I have posted about elsewhere, DS6 had a change of school and skipped into year 2 this year. Just before he was due to start the year I was having a mini panic attack over the state of his handwriting. I sent his teacher an email about my concerns, and he started working with the school OT a couple weeks into the term. We have had nightly OT homework which DS doesn't always feel like doing, but does anyway. Last night we had our first parent teacher meeting, and his handwriting has improved SO much. His teacher said she had never seen as much improvement in a single term. He has gone from a boy who avoided all writing tasks to a boy who has an idea, pick up a pencil, and starts writing about it smile

I am also very happy with the new school in their handling of him academically. The grade skip definitely helped get him more aligned with the curriculum, and they also seem to be doing a good job of extending him beyond year 2 in the areas he needs it.
