What has been your child's experience with a teacher after getting the diagnosis ADD? We went through a Spring of testing where not only did we find out that DD9 was gifted, but she probably is ADD inattentive as well. She's always received all 4's so her grades have never been affected, and her behavior has always been "the perfect child" as she was scared of getting in trouble. Will her ADD become the label now vs. her abilities? We are happy that we know why she forgets what one said seconds after you said it and loses homework, shoes, etc, but we don't want to see a teacher focus predominantly on that one issue.
