We had parent/teacher conferences at the end of January. During the meeting I discussed giving DS6 the chance to do more science activities. He is 2e and a lot of effort at this age goes into remediation and accommodation. The idea was to give him a chance to shine.
This idea turned into a new mixed age after school science club lead by a teacher he'll have next year. They are doing hands-on experiments and he is really enjoying it. DH does pick up and said the teacher was really impressed with DS.
It is so nice to see a suggestion come to life and work out well.
