Today my K kiddo who has complained of not having any math work at school said he got single digits times triple digits in his class where they aren't even doing addition.

He said he told his teacher it was too hard and he didn't do it but of course he wanted to see how to do it when he got home. I am thrilled they are testing his limits! I think this is a sign that we might really be getting the differentiation he needs for next year! I believe this is a late 3rd grade skill??

It was funny when he asked about it and I showed him. His multiplication skills are completely based on his math intuition of figuring out what multiplication is. When he saw how it worked he was laughing and giggling at multiplying single digits by 6 digit numbers. Ah! Fun to watch!

How joyous would it be if we had something to learn everyday?
