I think the amount of interaction depends on the child and how prepared they are to jump in and start with comments or questions during the audio sessions. The teacher tried to use verbal communication to warm the students up, but the students tended to communicate with her by typing in the chat box. By the third session, my dd was feeling comfortable enough to give short verbal answers.
The teacher responded to all emails within about 24 hours.
