I recently went to see the movie, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", adapted from Stephen Chbosky's 1999 novel (Chbosky wrote and directed the film himself). It is one of the best coming of age movies that I have seen in a long time. I wanted to recommend it here because I think a lot of the kids here would really enjoy and identify with the characters in the movie. The main group of charterers are highly intelligent students who are outside the box. The story revolves around the daily ups and downs and the acceptance and support that they have for each other. I have not read the book, written in 1999, but I hear that it was successful so many of you are probably already familiar with it, either-way I wanted to recommend it.
