After doing some research into our new insurance, it looks like we might just be able to justify new testing for our 12-year-old with Fine Motor Coordination disability (dysgraphia, dyslexia). Here is hoping for some more in-depth identification of whatever is going on with his executive functioning so that perhaps next year isn't so rough for him (and me).

Thanks for all the advice and support.

He's seeing a child psychiatrist who works with a lot of kids with ADHD, as he was the closest we could find in our insurance list of someone who might have a better understanding of 2E kids. So we will, of course, trust that he will have tests he has in mind, but are there any I should bring up or request?

The intake person said that this psychiatrist will likely refer some of the testing out to a neuropsychologist, but we have to start here to get it covered.
