I'm guessing that something like DM (dear mom) or DP (dear pop, to distinguish from the "D" for daughter), would be a possibility too, since giftedness is often considered genetic...
My mother was in the "gifted" class when she was in elem. school, although they didn't call it that -- in those days "gifted" was whoever the teachers didn't sit at the back of the class (although she is VERY smart and intuitive and extremely empathetic). My father, I think, could've been a good student too, but he unfortunately fried his brain cells too much smoking pot and drinking in HS.
Regardless, though, I won't put their numbers after the initials there!
