what test did you use? My one DD isn't reading and we are considering testing her and her sister. Her sister reads above grade level. I'm wondering if I should try a whole word program. She doesn't remember the words she sounds out from one day to the next. We quit Hooked on Phonics for that reason but Explode the Code isn't working much better either.
