Any recommendations for birthday gift ideas for a 13 year old?
He likes coding, building, and strategy.
Thanks in advance!
Not sure if they would work but around that age my daughter got a metal detector, an archery set and materials to make a clay pot smoker.
(Totally different interests than you list - she's a humanities kid/ historical reenactor who had been making her own bows and arrows for years and LOVES smoked salmon. YMMV...)
Arduino or Raspberry Pi? I have no tinkerers, but have long wanted an excuse to buy this book:

My 12 year old wants a drawing tablet (one of those ones you hook up to a computer. Otherwise books, switch games and he probably will want his own bow by next March.
Another idea - I'm totally non-tech savvy so don't really understand how it works but for her 14th birthday my DD was given a device called Lifeprint Instant Print Camera. It attaches to her iPhone and basically allows it to operate like a Polaroid camera. She and her friends went crazy over it.
Thank you for all of the recs!
