I am trying to find information about ceiling effects on this test.

Is anyone familiar with it?

DD is going to have this test at the end of the month.

It seems that it can measure from IQ=50 to 150, for the preschool version.

There is another version for older children, but I have not found yet about ceilings.

For what I have been reading, I would be very surprised if DD would not hit the ceiling on several subtests of the preschool version (ages 2.5 to 7).

Appart from that, it looks quite some fun!

I haven't heard of the test, but I think that the US uses different test than other parts of the world. The website does make it look like fun. It's individually given, so that is fun. I'm interested that it's adaptive, which should be good. I think your daughter will enjoy it. Do you think she will understand enough Dutch to be able to follow the directions?

This a test developed by a Dutch in the University of Nijmegen, so of course the Dutchies prefer it

Actually, I think it is quite ok for DD because it is quite visual-spatial. About the instructions, her Dutch would be good enough, but in fact the tester is apparently trilingual, Dutch-Spanish-English, so there shouldn't be any problems

DD is 4.5 now and there is another SON test for ages 5.5 to 17, so I guess they could give some off-level test if neccessary. I just want to know what is more or less DD's ceiling.

I have to say that I like the fact that they give feedback and that it looks quite flexible.

I wish, wish, wish there was a Dutch group like this! I guess you could call or email the University of Nijmegen and ask them about if the instructions say that a 4 year old can be given the harder items if she tops out her age-group, and ask them about local support groups for parents of high tester, yes?
