We've talked about Mensa and gifted kids before, and I decided to write a short piece on the topic: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art64176.asp

Thank you Lorel for taking the time to talk about Mensa for kids. I've been debating whether to join, even got as far as sending in my old GRE scores. I'm really only interested in playgroups for DS, but when I've inquired I haven't found much activity for families locally. If DS doesn't make DYS in the spring I may join anyway.

Mae, I'm glad that was helpful. The quality and quantity of kid friendly events varies wildly from group to group. It only takes 2-3 families to get things rolling though, so I do encourage people who are looking for local peers to consider getting involved.
