My son was diagnosed with all 3 of these. I know they often go together. He is 6 and in First Grade. He had a higher than normal IQ, yet I don't know how to bring that out of him yet?
He is not able to focus at all but is not hyper. We have to watch him closely b/c at times he doesn't know he is wandering and they have found him outside of school doors, once or twice.( I don't think it is due to absense seizures. )
We have tried Concerta and Vyvanse and they have caused Depression and anxiety tics. I need to know if there is a better medication and if I should buy an expensive, online, dyslexic program. My little one is getting emotionally and physically drained and so am I.
Thanks to everyone for your ideas.

On the medication: there are lots of other options out there. You should be relying for this on an expert prescriber (developmental pediatrician or psychiatrist) who really sees a lot of kids, gifted and otherwise, who have ADD.

Is your DS in public school? Have you requested that they do a complete educational evaluation? If not, have a look at the book From Emotions to Advocacy, which tells how to get this done. Having the diagnosis from outside will help; in your shoes I'd share that information with the school and have them look closely at the situation.

If it's public school or a charter, you will need to get the school to put an IEP in place: they should be remediating the dyslexia, the sooner the better. Do they have any Orton-Gillingham or Wilson method-trained teachers?
