    Just an update...

My son has successfully completed his first quarter of university. It seems to be going well. He has passed all his math/CS classes A's and "passed" his required Writing class. One more writing class to get through that he will take spring quarter and I've suggested he take it pass/fail.

Since I haven't posted in a while I will add a short backstory. I started posting her back when my son was in late junior high. Early sophomore year was diagnosed 2E. Low processing & working memory issues, anxiety. Writing is his big challenge because he is a bit too literal. He often just doesn't know what to say. He knows the mechanics of writing but it trips him up.

Bluemagic, I was thinking of your and your son, thank you for the update!

I wish I could share the same. DS pretty much stopped going to class by early October. Faculty and support staff reached out to him and worked with him, and in the end he is taking a leave of absence. It allows him to return in a semester or two without having to reapply.
