I have a WJ-III Score Report for my child. It has a table of Scores, but It doesn't list "General Intellectual Ability" anywhere on it.

Does anyone know how to calculate the GIA from the table of scores? (and if so, which column of the scores do you need W,Ae, RPI, SS, GE...?)

List of scores have been deleted as members have explained that GIA can only be calculated from the WJ III COG and not the WJ III ACH.

Welcome to the trying to find out what everything means phase :)I wasn't aware that the WJIII could produce a GAI but I'm very new to all of this stuff. I hope many of these very knowledgable board members can answer your questions soon!

It looks like these tests are from the WJIII achievement battery. The WJIII Cognitive is the IQ test. You would see scores such as comprhesion, working memory, processing speed.

This site has a lot of good information: http://alpha.fdu.edu/psychology/woodcock_cog_descrip.htm

The WJIII has two parts - an achievement battery and a cognitive battery. These results are only from the achievement part so you can't generate a GIA from that.

Note also that if you have a printout, all of the composites that can be calculated will be already on it.
