My daughter received a letter telling her that she has been nominated to represent our state at an event called the 'Congress of Future Medical Leaders' in Lowell, MS this coming June.

It appears to be run by a for-profit university which immediately raised a red flag in my mind and appears to charge 'tuition' but unless you accept their nomination you cannot see how much it costs.

Has anyone here heard of this and is able to comment/provide feedback on this please?

From what I can see about it, it's not exactly a scam, but not really value for money, either. It's more like people buying data and mailing lists from College Board, and then marketing fluffy resume padding to students. With maybe a fun summer camp experience thrown in.

Right - that confirms what I found after some cursory digging. My daughter is no kiss up, teacher pleaser so it was suspicious from the outset LOL

We have been receiving so many similar mailers for summer programs that sound prestigious, but probably aren’t. One was from Brown University but there have been several others. I looked up how much they cost and they are a lot of money. I am nearly certain that none would help with college admissions.
