    Well, he's a good friend, for one thing, so it just wouldn't look right if anyone found out.

    He doesn't routinely do testing in his current position, but he likes to keep in practice with it. He said he wasn't going to write a formal report, but that it would be accurate since he has lots of experience in testing. I don't know why he wouldn't write it up--maybe just because we're friends. I'll ask.

    This sounds exactly like my girls! They have always been excellent readers. My oldest DD has been grouped with many of the GT kids this year for reading.

    I think pushing the friend to do the write up is a good idea. You dont' want to be in a position of needing the write-up and not being able to give her the test because she's too familiar with it. So frustrating that the programing is linked to a test that isn't working for you!
