My ds6 is in 1st grade, and just this past week started going to 2nd grade for math, as well as 30 minutes math enrichment per week (with six 2nd graders). He tried explaining to me what they do in math enrichment - and after he got frustrated with me not understanding, I e-mailed the teacher. They are doing a program called "Hands on Equations" which I'm sure others have heard of, but which is new to me - it looks really cool, and might even get me to understand algebra !!

We have it and I love it! I think it is a really great way to introduce algebra concepts.
