Love it....this is what my 2.7 year old told me with a big sigh after getting in trouble this evening. Man she cracks me up.

She also told me today
"Be quite. I am trying to concentrate on my work"

and then later when I told her we were going to visit her grandparents this weekend she said
"I don't know about that. That doesn't sound like fun"
when I asked why not?
"Because I am a little bit concerned"

She then explained that she thought our dog would be lonely.

Some days are such a joy and she make me laugh so hard.

Aren't they so funny!

She sounds so cute! I love when they say funny things like that. My DS has been very speech delayed so he is just now at (just turned) 4 starting to say things like this. Or maybe I should say I understand him saying these things now. He tells me a lot he 'doesn't have time for this'.

DS3 is still scratching his head over what he learned from a 4y/o female classmate yesterday. She told DS that girls wear panties and boys wear underwear. DS said the girl couldn't tell him why something with the same function was called different things.

** As a result, when singing Old MacDonald, DS inserts that on his farm he has some "panties," a "cardboard box," and other random items. I'm not sure I want to know why.

Heh, we get all sorts of things inserted into all kinds of songs by our completely nutty dd3...
I had this conversation with her this morning - after the usual struggle to get her in the car to start the day, I muttered something like ' so....frustrating.....'
She said, 'Oh you're not frustrating!'
Rolling my eyes, I said, 'No, you are!'.
She said,'Ok, I'll be frustrating.' with a huge smile on her face.

Usually she really knows her words, even the big ones, so this 'confusion' on her part was pretty amusing, and I had to wonder if she was just kidding with me.

That's good stuff.

When my daughter was 2 or 3, sometimes, I just could not get her to go out of the house or up to bed or other places like walk down a hall. I tried all kinds of tricks and tried talking real sweet. The only thing that would work would be for my DS to sing, "Let's do the Marching Parade" and march her wherever I needed her to go. She went happily.

I was a little concerned about my authority and his power but I went with it. LOL
