Hi - I have a gt 9 yr. old son who is doing math at approx. the 6th grade level. He hates traditional math programs, so I am looking for something more interesting to keep him going. Is Murderous Maths written for younger kids or would a 9 year old enjoy the books too? I have never seen the books, and the website is not very clear on the appropriate age level. Thanks!

our DS discovered the books when he was about to turn 9. He devoured them.

I can't say what "age" they're written for, but they're very clever, Brit-style, and DS laughed a lot.

In addition to the Murderous Maths, you may want to consider the Life of Fred Series. Although we haven't used them (yet), I've peeked at my niece's books and they seem great! Other users on this forum can give you more first hand knowledge.

I've had kids from 6 to 8 just eating them up.

And if you force me to confess, I'll admit that I really enjoyed one of the Dead Famous books recently (same company, different series). I'm not sure the math is that fun for adults, but the Shakespeare book was a riot.
