Does anyone have any experience or know anything about the Magnolia Science Academy charter schools? They're based in LA and are opening a new middle/high school in our city in the Bay Area. DS9 attends 6th grade at a private middle/high school here, but the middle school's future is uncertain right now.

I'd be grateful for any input.

The only thing I know is that our school district denied their charter application about 6 mo ago because they nearly exclusively hire teachers from out of country. I thought that was kind of interesting but the district officials were completely opposed.
