The last time I posted, my son was 18 months and there was some concern about his word loss being a sign of autism. When we went to his 18 mo. check-up there was a check list screen for autism and the doctor believed that he was not autistic. I was relieved at that time. I am now convinced that my son is not autistic. Since that time my son has blossomed in his vocabulary. He's speaking somewhere in the neighborhood of 400-500 words. He says short sentences and reads around 6 word sentences aloud. The words I thought he had lost have come back plus many, many, many more. He still has a great since of humor. He loves to make us laugh and he loves to be tickled. He is very playful and fun to be around.

Yay!

You know, sometimes they just have other things to do. Especially near a growth spurt, kids (any kid, not just a GT one) can backtrack some in other areas. Maybe that's what happened?
