My DS 7 has been accelerated two Grades in public school. Everyone is in agreement that this is the right placement for him intellectually, but he is having a real problem getting work from the black/white board completed. From the WISC iv test all his scores were Superior or Very Superior with the exception of processing speed which was average for his age. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can help him keep up with board work? His eye sight was recently tested and fine.

The easiest fix would seem to be if the teacher was willing to give him a paper copy. If he/she is transcribing to the board from a sheet of paper, a copy would be perfect. If not, is there a child in the class who could share his notes? Those are my best guesses....

Those seem like reasonable accommodation.
Is he sitting in the front of the room?
Can he snap a picture of the board with a cell phone camera and look at it close up at his seat?
What kinds of work is it? Is it in all subjects?
Best Wishes,
Grinity
