It's coming up in a couple of weeks along with their annual conference. I'm considering going because DS6 current school isn't going to work. I was wondering if anyone had gone, if there were a lot of schools.

I went a couple years ago. Are you on the MCGT e-mail list? I think they mailed out or posted a list of schools ahead of time last year. There were a fair number of schools, but not all the school are specifically for GT kids. It's a great place to check out an overview of many schools. These school fairs are also heavy on the marketing and want your $$$ (either tuition or funding), so definitely plan on some follow up classroom visits! smile

We are homeschooling now and if we were to return to regular school I have a fairly good feel for what we'd look it more seriously.

Thank you! That helps a lot.

I'm not on the mailing list, I'm not even a member yet. It's something i've thought about doing but just don't know if I belong. It's good to know that not all schools are for GT kids. I think my son is in the MG/HG range, not profound, so I don't think he needs a school solely for gifted kid.

I have found a district close to home that has a good reputation that I plan on visiting soon. If I get in here (open enrollment) that'll take care of a lot of problems but I'd like to know what the other options are.
