Thanks. I will sign up early next week since I will be offline for a few days at the end of the week and this weekend. That's okay, right?

Is anyone experiencing registration issues ? When I try to log in to the web-site on the email, I get a message that the web-site is under maintainence with HTTP 500 error.

    Any thoughts.

    Hi melissa
both my kids started today. they seemed to enjoy it.
it was a bit quirky though with where the lessons started. It seemed to start on a lesson at grade level 1.6.. beginning subtraction. is that by design? should i let them start there and see how they do or back up to the beginning. I want to use it in the way it was intended. I am posting here thinking others will have same question.

Yes Renie, I have the same question. I think Melissa is looking into how to most easily find the right fit, and how to manually adjust things if needed. From what I read, the intention is to start at what you know to be the 'grade level', if a child is still getting 100% after a few lessons (don't remember the exact number) moving up is recommended. If they are getting around 50% right, they suggest moving down. I think they said 80% might indicate the best 'zone' for a child/subject. (writing this from memory, so if any corrections are needed, feel free to point them out!) smile
Unfortunately I just plugged in ds' regular grade for language arts and that does seem too low, so waiting to hear more from Mel.
