A Masters in ChemE, Physics, or Mathematics will earn the highest out of college. Placement has to occur in specialty occupations, though.

Sales people and consultants will earn higher returns after a few years of experience.

Leadership positions within good firms or starting a firm will pay the most in the long run, but for many, the stress is not worth it, although the emotional rewards of getting things done and leading good people can be very good. Gifties, who can do many things well, should consider being leaders if they have the right personality traits.

I don't find this at all surprising, but it is interesting to see it all in a table. Not being a math/science person myself, I always was painfully aware of the difference between this stuff and the humanities!

But it is good news for at least one of my kids...
